The Town of Cape Vincent Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at 7 p.m. at Recreation Park on So. James Street, Cape Vincent, to consider the application of Caroline Knecht.

The applicant is requesting approval for a minor subdivision at 6059 Gosier Road, Cape Vincent NY 13618 (tax map # 40.25-1-63). This parcel was subdivided in 2015. The applicant is proposing to divide the 2.29-acre lot from the 2015 subdivision into two lots of 1.2-acres and 1.09-acres.

The applicant is requesting approval for a minor subdivision at 31435 Mason Road, Cape Vincent NY 13618 (tax map # 50.07-1-13). The applicant is proposing to divide a 53.08-acre lot into two lots of 14.93-acres and 38.15-acres.

OPERATIONS – TOWN OF CAPE VINCENT

The Town Board Meetings are held on the Third Thursday of each month and will be held in the Recreation Park Building at 6:30pm.  Social Distancing guidlines are in place and will be followed.

The Town Office is open, and masks are required to enter the building.  Business is also being conducted through windows outside the offices.  Services, such as sales of fishing & hunting licenses, EZ Pass, marriage license, tax collection, dog licenses & renewals, certifies copies, handicap parking tags can all be provided by Town Clerk through her window. The mail slot in the foyer is also available for residents to use.

The Transfer Site schedule beginning May 1; Monday 9-1, Tues 9-4, Wed. 9-6, Fri 9-4, and Sat. 9-4.  The transfer site will no longer accept mattresses or boats.

Town Court is open through the court window only.  Court session held on Tuesday evenings are cancelled until further notice.

The Assessor is available on Tuesday and Thursday.

 The Town Board of the Town of Cape Vincent will hold budget work sessions on Sept.22, 29, Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27 at 8:30am in the Recreation Park Building, 602 S. James.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Effective immediately – the Cape Vincent Transfer Site will no longer accept mattresses, box springs, foam pads or futon mattresses.  These items will only be collected at the Jefferson County Recycling Center, 27138 NYS Rt 12, and there is a fee.  No permit required.  Their hours of operation are M-F 7:30am until 3:00pm and Saturday from 7:30am until 1:00pm
